IPSS Medical Rescue is currently on scene in Ballito where a man has been shot after a robbery and attempted hijacking.

Reports from the scene indicate that the man and his colleague where driving out of Ballito when their vehicle was forced off the road by an unknown number of suspects.

The men were robbed and one victim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest whilst attempting to escape.

They then drove to the parking lot of a nearby school to seek assistance.

The victim was found to be in a critical condition and is being stabilised by IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced

Life Support paramedics. He will be transported to an appropriate facility for further care.
