Scene of fatal bus crash on N8 outside Botshabelo

One person died and more than 30 sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious after a mini-bus and a commuter bus collided on the N8 outside Botchabelo earlier today.

patients were treated and stabilised on scene by paramedics from various services before they were transported to various hospitals in Bloemfontein,Thaba Nchu and Botchabelo for further care.

One person was airlifted to Bloemfontein Medi-Clinic with serious injuries. Jaws of life had to be used to free two patients from the mini bus.

Traffic was disrupted for several hours as the scene was cleared.
